It’s 2007 in Fresno, Texas. Raphael is in the county jail after a graffiti arrest. He’s a good kid. It’s just graffiti. So you can’t blame Rafael for the events that happen after his arrest. He’s not responsible for the operation, Pflophouse’s new mix, Officer Williams and her fraudulent suspicions, the meth pipes, the FBI, the rich kids with nothing to lose, Mateo, Larry the pig, all the knives, the aspiring local TV news, the plutonium deal gone wrong, or anyone who may or may not have been wrong. None of this is Rafael’s fault, but it’s his problem.
